This is a good question, and you can answer it yourself if you consider all the facts: You will have put a lot of time and effort into planning your wedding day, and are probably investing a significant amount of money in all the arrangements and services involved. As a couple spending your lives together, you'll not be forgetting each other, but won't it be nice when you are able to look back at your wedding day and relive all the best things, all the special details, with complete clarity and an artistic viewpoint? The cost of a fine photography studio is a small price to pay for preservation of everything from emotions to appearances to activities! Yes, you may have a guest who is highly qualified as a photographer, but wouldn't you like that person to be free to enjoy the occasion along with everyone else? It is nice to get a few "bonus" photos from guests, but the only way to be sure that all aspects of your event are covered reliably, with consistently high quality, is to assign the task to a photographer who is devoted to the goal of providing you with a perfect wedding keepsake, a great set of wedding pictures!

How do wedding contracts work?

Most wedding contracts are based on "packages". That is, you purchase coverage for the duration of your event, and you get a specified set of prints, one or more albums, etc. We have several pre-configured packages that suit most of our customers, but we are always willing to design a contract to fit your requirements. We include a preview album in each package. It contains prints of everything we shoot, so that you have a record of the entire occasion, and you can always return with an order for additional prints. Beyond that, our packages generally feature either a formal, library-bound wedding album (which allows telling the story with a variety of print shapes and sizes, matting and arranging them artistically on each page) or a collection of custom enlargements for you to use as you wish. The two concepts can be combined, of course. You are always free to purchase additional prints or albums after the wedding.
